There’s a rainbow in the sky… And it’s flying! The most colourful bird of Southern Europe resembles the fresh breeze from the tropics. In spring bee-eaters arrive from the heart of Africa to their nesting grounds in Bulgaria. At first sight it seems the Bee-eaters have gathered all the colours from the rainbow in their joyful, bright plumage. Their flocks often adorn bushes, trees and cables like a necklace of colourful gems.
